After being successfully led astray by Lin Yu, her thoughts no longer became "I want that stinky dog Cocolia to die", but "If I have to die, I must get revenge first".
Of course, after spending a long time with other people, Yuno's desire for atonement led to some subtle changes in her thinking.
It changed from simple revenge to [killing more Honkai beasts and saving more people is a good thing, and it is also a good thing to atone for the sins a little].
Combining the above content, Yuno's character is a bit smart and understands human nature. She will try her best to do everything she should do for revenge, while maintaining her bottom line as a human being.
In fact, some people should have noticed by now that when I was writing Yuno, I used a weakened version of Lin Yu's character.
Because they have similar inner thoughts, she can be said to be the person who understands Lin Yu the best in a sense.
The reason why it was easy to write is not only because she is a blank slate, but also because of this reason - just make slight changes to the description of the real Lin Yu and apply it to Yuno.
I would also like to take this opportunity to briefly talk about my views on the character design of the revenge ghost.
In my eyes, a person who transforms into a ghost for revenge is not a qualified revenge ghost unless he shouts "revenge, revenge, revenge".
In order to get revenge, he will risk everything and even turn himself into a demon.
If you are willing to be a demon, then you must try your best to do other things.
Take Yuno as an example. After being successfully led astray by Lin Yu, she tried hard to get along with her companions, studied all kinds of anti-Honkai Impact 3rd knowledge of Saint Freya, tried her best to climb up when she was required to go on a mission, and worked hard to improve her abilities in her spare time. She even took every opportunity to find seniors like Ghost to exchange experiences and learn skills.
In my opinion, this is what a qualified revenge ghost should do - not doing basic work and promotion tasks, just shouting revenge...
Unless you can get revenge with your fists, this seems pretty stupid to me.
And Kokolia is definitely not the kind of person who can be killed by just fighting.
Even though she is as abstract as she is, she has the title of the anti-entropy fox. When necessary, Cocolia still pays attention to her own safety [for example, she lets Banya go to retrieve the Herrscher of Thunder instead of going herself].
To find such a person, one must have enough access to high-level resources and intelligence to find a chance to send her away.
As for the character's positioning in the plot, it's actually more like a lubricant.
If Lin Yu's position in the plot is the leader who unites everyone around him, then Yuno is the vice-captain who helps Lin Yu deal with some minor frictions caused by interpersonal relationships [after all, the revenge ghost duo was forced into a corner, which caused them to think relatively faster among the younger generation].
As for why the vice-captain and the captain got together...
Hmm, that's a profound question.
The plot mentioned that her favorability level has been stuck at around 70 purely because she was suppressing it herself, otherwise it would have reached 100 long ago.
In Yuno's personal opinion, the Poison Herrscher who killed her mother and so many people does not deserve love, so she hopes that more people will embrace Lin Yu while trying to restrain herself from getting too close to Lin Yi.
The atmosphere has reached this point, if I say Yuno is not a harem, I will definitely be beaten to death.
However, due to Yuno's own reasons, her love line must end after the finale.
..........
Yaezakura——Actually there’s not much need to say about this character.
Both the previous book and this book are just minor roles among minor roles.
On the one hand, I'm not very interested in her, and on the other hand, her story doesn't seem to be particularly good to write, so after getting the stigmata, Yae Sakura's opportunities to appear can be said to be few and far between.
There is no emotional drama in this role, so I'll choose the next one.
..........
Ling - In the early stage, her positioning was similar to Yaezakura.
In the previous book, because Ji Ran made a guest appearance as the God of War in Shilipu, when he met Ling, Ling basically posed no threat to him, so at that time I wrote Ling as a comedian + younger brother.
But this book is different. In the early stage, Lin Yu was not as scary as Ji Ran, so Ling would certainly not be scared by him.
In this situation, since Yi Ling's character has not yet softened, we cannot expect her to surrender to an enemy who may potentially counterattack.
And because Lin Yu has hatred in his heart and his temper is not as good as Theresa's, the route of directly giving up hatred and persuading others is simply not feasible.
Because of the above reasons, Ling's 'Nine-Tailed Fox' character makes it easier to develop a plot with Lin Yu.
For some unknown reason, a love line emerged as I was writing, which really makes me feel a little sad.
In addition, regarding the Promised Land chapter, I think everyone has to criticize it to some extent, because in my opinion, the Promised Land chapter is definitely not well written.
There are many reasons why it is not written well.
On the one hand, I thought about Lin Yu's character and felt that as an efficiency-conscious person, if he had enough strength, he would definitely prioritize efficiency when going in to catch people.
Expecting him to have a heart-to-heart with Yingjie and get the seal like Mei in the original novel...he doesn't have that patience.
In this case, in addition to following the plot, we must create some program effects. The program effects will be discussed in the analysis of plot ideas section. Here we will mainly talk about the bell.
In my opinion, after Ling softened for various reasons, she must be given a chance to completely untie her knot.
And the promised land is that opportunity.
After seeing her sister, even though she knew that her sister was just a memory and that her hatred for humans had shifted to the culprit of Honkai, there is a high probability that the resentment in Suzu's heart would have completely dissipated.
So based on the above reasons, my focus in the Paradise chapter will be on Ling.
The reason why she jumped out at the end of the story was because of Ling's characteristics, which allowed her to know what Lin Yu was going to do as quickly as possible. There was no other special reason.
..........
The three unlucky anti-entropy executors - Tesla, Einstein and Longma - are basically just supporting roles.
In the book, apart from the early plot, they hardly appeared in the later part.
As for the fact that the early plot allowed Red and Blue to have a plot in Changkong City, it was purely because I thought it was more reasonable. In the original novel, the setting of the early anti-entropy was so outrageous that they did not appear at all. In the end, they became saviors and did not move when the organization of the stinky dogs was causing trouble...
All I can say is that they are quite unlucky both inside and outside the plot.
This book emphasizes details in the early stages [of course there are still some plots in the later stages that unnecessarily emphasize details], so in order to make the details more reasonable, these two people absolutely cannot continue to slack off during the third collapse.
There is nothing much to say about Longma. There is really nothing much to write about.
..........
Fu Hua - from the very beginning I had no intention of writing her as a supporting character to the heroine.
Anyone who has read the previous book can more or less tell that I have basically no idea about immortals.
The plot of Fu Hua in the previous book cannot be said to be pitifully small, but it is true that there is not much overall. Shi Lu appears in the later period and only half of it is left, and there is even less afterwards.
This also led to the fact that when I was writing this book, I had no intention of writing about Fu Hua as the heroine at the beginning.
But when writing the transition chapters between the Escape from the Sky and the Rebellion of the Nine Netherworlds, I realized a few things.
First of all, Lin Yu and Ji Ran are different. When Ji Ran met Fu Hua, Fu Hua was in a low health state, while Ji Ran was already so strong that no one except Kevin could pose enough threat to him.
In this case, when facing the spy sent by Otto, Ji Ran would definitely want to solve certain problems with her as soon as possible to ensure that he would not be seriously backstabbed later.
Of course, considering that Fu Hua was an accomplice to the evil, but was a good person most of the time and was able to make amends for her mistakes, Ji Ran would be relatively polite to her when he had the situation under control.
But Lin Yu is different.
When Lin Yu met Fu Hua, he was not strong enough. In addition, Lin Yu thought he was acting at the time, which meant that he could not be strong enough when facing Fu Hua in the early stage.
Moreover, although Lin Yu really defeated Lei Lu in the early stage, compared with Ji Ran, who was able to defeat the enhanced version of Lei Lu when he left Changkong City, Lin Yu was not that strong.
When the intensity is not so high, Fu Hua can provide more help to Lin Yu.
In addition, in my opinion, when Fu Hua helped Otto, she must have felt guilty towards her companions in St. Freya College. Her guilt + Lin Yu's external and internal revengeful personality + Lin Yu's lack of strength combined, I don't think it's strange that Fu Hua would want to help Lin Yu secretly.
Although Lin Yu was afraid of death in the early stage, his fear of death was not to the point that he would forget the favor.
No matter how you look at it, it is an objective fact that Fu Hua helped him. So, in this case, the gradual warming of their relationship is an inevitable plot.
Unlike the Demon King who used his power to dominate Fu Hua as soon as he saw her, Lin Yu had enough time to develop feelings with Fu Hua.
This led to the fact that I found it unacceptable that Fu Hua was not popular in this book, so what else could I do...
Just follow the plot. Everyone likes to watch it anyway, and it’s not a twisted plot. The feeling of being an immortal is really good, right?
........
The Herrscher of Consciousness - Like Fu Hua, I had no intention of writing this character in this direction at the beginning.
Actually, I feel there is nothing much to say. She came out just to give Fu Hua a reason to do those things that she was originally restraining herself from doing.
Whether it's beating Otto or saying something directly to Lin Yu that he dare not say, everyone will like to watch him make some awkward moments when necessary.
It is also because of the above reasons that although Lin Yu calls the Herr of Consciousness "Master", his inner attitude is more inclined to treat the Herr of Consciousness as a childish little sister who needs to be coaxed.
As for whether the Herrscher of Knowledge has noticed this, I think she is so gullible that she will not be aware of these details at least in a short period of time.
..........
Cocolia - a character that I have always found difficult to describe.
Judging from the original plot, it cannot be said that she has no feelings for her adopted daughters. In many plots, it can be seen that Cocolia cares and loves her adopted daughters.
By the way, the early setting of the twins was that they stole Cocolia's potion, which caused their bodies to be transformed [manga]. Later in the main storyline, their lives were in danger and they were forced to undergo body transformation. After reading the book, Cocolia became a little more humane.
But it is precisely because of this little bit of humanity that Cocolia becomes more abstract and terrifying in my eyes.
It’s not that she doesn’t love the children, but it’s even more horrifying that she sent them to undergo human experiments with a high probability of death even though she loved them.
If she was just a pure bastard who used children as experimental subjects, she wouldn't be so scary.
Before I talk about the positioning of this book, I must say one thing.
Before I started writing the last book, I had learned about the plot of Honkai Impact 3rd [I got into it very early but had forgotten the details of the plot, so I had to review it again].
As a result, after I finished writing the first copy and returned to the world of Honkai, I was reminded by other friends in the author group during a discussion in the group that the headquarters of ME Company is in Changkong City.
I choked up at that moment.
Then I thought about it for a long time, but still didn't understand why Cocolia would cause a large-scale disaster in Changkong City after taking over ME Company.
In the book, someone said that Gray Snake instructed Cocolia to test the Stigmata Plan in advance, but I didn't see this part in the original story. If someone can find the source, please tell me which chapter it is [but I doubt it is a second setting. 】
Putting aside the fact that it is not certain whether it is an official plot or not, Cocolia's causing the collapse of Changkong City is not only a bad character, but also makes her seem a bit...
Um, I remember that ME Company was very valuable, right? The impact of the collapse you caused in Changkong City on ME Company was also very large...
Ms. Cocolia, don't you calculate the benefits before you take action?
Then back to this book, there is one thing I had thought about before writing it.
In the Moon Shadow chapter, when Cocolia stayed at the Queen Hotel, it showed that she was really rich. But when we go back to the Cocolia Orphanage before Seele disappeared in the summer of 13, it was so dilapidated.
If she had used some of the money she spent outside to go to the orphanage, the children would not have lived such a miserable life.
By the way, don’t think that this counts as embezzlement. The Cocolia Orphanage is set as an anti-entropy institution, so it’s not a problem to ensure that the members of the institution have more food to eat and live better.
Then combined with another setting I mentioned before [Bronya's mission in the third Honkai Impact 3rd is to recover Raiden Mei], the problem becomes very serious.
The plot involving Cocolia combines many abstract expressions such as [using her adopted daughter to conduct an experiment with a high probability of death], [loving her adopted daughter but not willing to spend money on her], [making a serious mistake in estimating the combat power of the Herrscher of Lightning (we still don't know how Cocolia will subdue the awakened Herrscher of Lightning)], [she has the title of the anti-entropy fox and is good at commanding, but the plot is a mess], etc.
I think people’s dissatisfaction with Cocolia is partly because this character is really disgusting, and partly because this character is really abstract.
If written well, indecision and hesitation can become a character's characteristic or even a trademark [@带带杀手鲸], but it is so abstract that even if we put aside good and evil, I don't think there is anything attractive about Cocolia other than her appearance.
This is already a completely hopeless character, so in the book I could only let her sprint towards the abstract path with all her might.
Of course, to put it bluntly, the character of Cocolia, except for special circumstances [such as the setting that the protagonist has a good relationship with Cocolia from the beginning], is basically meant to be killed, and once she dies, she dies.
The main problem with her is that her daughters all think that "Mom is very good". Even Banya, who had a falling out with her in the original novel, would not say that he had any particularly bad thoughts about Cocolia.
So before killing her, some problems must be solved first, such as at whose hands she died, and how to deal with Banya Xier.
Until the end of the book, Cocolia died, and only Banya and Xing knew about it in the orphanage.
Although An knew about this in the Ruler of Herrscher arc, she definitely had no chance to tell it after she was abolished.
In the end, only Banya knew about this matter. In other words, as long as Banya's feelings are dealt with well, other issues will not be a problem.
So Cocolia can only commit suicide, and Cocolia's suicide requires some conditions.
Since Cocolia has real feelings for Banya, she will only do something desperate if she is pushed to the limit.
Of course, everyone is very anxious in this book, which is not a problem. The problem is that Cocolia's action of making Bronya anxious cannot be too abrupt.
It can be said that although she is an abstract artist, I spent a lot of time and effort in dealing with her issues.
It was originally planned that Yuno would kill her. Banya tried so hard along the way, and if Cocolia hadn't done anything stupid, she might really have lived like Raven.
But the taste of the Cocoa is not right, so it can only be said that the efforts of the pressed duck are useless.
..........
Raven - When I wrote this character, I really didn't expect things to turn out like this at first.
When I first wrote about Raven, because she was the strongest fighter in the current version of World Snake, I didn't intend for her to be defeated so early.
