Chapter 316: Twilight Judgment

Chapter 316: Twilight Judgment (Part )

The third part, "Dark Empire", tells the story of the coalition's crusade against C'Thun.

The sudden bad news frightened all the coalition forces. The Zerg were already very powerful, so how powerful would the Ancient God who could control them be?

Anachronos did not tell these mortals everything, because if he told them everything, these mortals would not have the courage to challenge C'Thun. C'Thun is one of the oldest creatures in the world. He and several other ancient gods established a powerful dark empire in Azeroth.

They captured the four elements of this world and made them work for them. These four elements are all very powerful. The most well-known one is Ragnaros, the Lord of Fire, who once appeared in the civil war of the dwarves.

There are three tribes of dwarves, Bronzebeard, Wildhammer, and Dark Iron. They originally lived in Ironforge, but after the death of King Anvilmar, a war broke out between the three tribes for the control of Ironforge, and the dwarves became the War of the Three Hammers.

The Bronzebeard dwarves drove the Wildhammer dwarves and Dark Iron dwarves out of Ironforge. The Wildhammer dwarves moved north and established Grim Batol in the wetlands. The Dark Iron dwarves moved south and established the city of Thaurissan in the Redridge Mountains.

The Dark Iron Dwarves were unwilling to accept defeat and continued to wage war against the other two tribes. Thaurissan attacked Ironforge, and his wife Modgud led people to stop the Dark Iron Dwarves. As a result, Modgud used magic to pollute Grim Batol, and the Wildhammer Dwarves fought back, killed Modgud, and together with the Bronzebeard Dwarves drove Thaurissan back to Thaurissan's city.

The Dark Iron Dwarves, who were forced into a desperate situation, summoned Ragnaros, and countless flames gushed out from the ground, directly cutting off the Red Ridge Mountains. Most of the mountains were flattened, and today's Burning Plains, Scorching Canyons, and Barren Lands have long been formed.

Even such a powerful Ragnaros was enslaved by the Old Gods, so how powerful could C'Thun be?

However, Anachronos told everyone a good news, that is, C'Thun was still sealed. If they could be eliminated before the Twilight's Hammer broke the seal, the coalition forces would not have to face C'Thun directly.

This news boosted morale. King Saurfang knew that the opportunity was not to be missed and immediately ordered an attack.

Under the cover of magic, the coalition forces rushed into the Beetle Wall, but there were countless insect people behind the Beetle Wall blocking their way forward.

King Saurfang commanded the dwarven artillery to conduct extended fire on the interior of the beetle wall, killing and injuring the insects on the coalition's offensive route. He then asked Jaina to lead the mages to occupy a high ground, where they cast group spells to attack the places where the insects were densely packed. He also summoned heroes of various races, and when they led the elite team, they beheaded those individual powerful insects. Four dragons and air forces of various races took off to contain the flying forces of the insects.

Under the fearless attack of the coalition forces, the Zergmen on the ground were gradually cleared. The coalition forces suffered heavy losses, and what the coalition forces hated most was that the large golem Anubisath created by the Zergmen killed at least tens of thousands of coalition forces.

When everyone arrived in front of the hive, King Saurfang placed the elite warriors in front, with ranged attackers and spellcasters following behind, and began to attack the hive.

Under the command of Grand King Saurfang, the coalition forces killed one Zerg after another, and finally killed the Zerg's twin emperors.

When they arrived at the sealed place of C'Thun, C'Thun's seal had been partially lifted. His huge momentum made the coalition forces dare not approach the sealed place, let alone launch an attack on him.

Cho'gall, the leader of the Twilight's Hammer, shouted at the coalition forces, declaring that C'Thun would hold a twilight judgement.

Garona explained that Twilight Judgment is a language believed by the Twilight Hammer, and when time comes to the end, everything will be reduced to ashes under Twilight Judgment.

This prophecy frightened the coalition forces even more, and many of them wanted to retire. At this time, Varian stood up and said, "If everything will be destroyed, then what do we need to be afraid of?" After that, he walked straight into the sealed place.

High Overlord Saurfang followed closely behind, waving his battle axe and saying that just as his brother could face Sargeras head-on, he could also face C'Thun head-on.

Inspired by their courage, people followed them and entered the sealed land.

C'Thun has countless pairs of eyes on his body, but the largest eye on his head can emit a death ray. If you are hit by a death ray, you will instantly turn into ashes, and even your soul will be annihilated.

But countless allied soldiers charged together, how could C'Thun kill them all with only one eye?

Gul'gall quickly commanded the Twilight Hammer to resist, trying to buy time for C'Thun. C'Thun was indeed powerful. His huge body was invulnerable to weapons and could even summon a large number of tentacles to kill the enemy. As long as there was enough time, he would definitely be able to kill all the coalition forces.

But the coalition did not give him time. Four giant dragons occupied the four high platforms of the sealed land and activated the magic circle on them. The terrifying aura of C'Thun was isolated, and the coalition's fear disappeared.

This boosted the morale of the coalition forces, and they soon defeated the Twilight Hammer. Seeing that the situation was not good, Cho'gall immediately knelt down and surrendered.

Garona held a dagger across his two heads and asked him how to kill C'Thun. Gu'gall quickly confessed that only powerful magic could kill C'Thun.

Aegwynn was old and experienced, and she immediately scanned the scene, and saw a powerful wizard. He was the one captured by the Twilight Hammer to remove the seal of C'Thun. He looked very young, but the magic within him was very familiar to Aegwynn, because it was the magic she once possessed, the power of the guardian.

She came to the young wizard and asked him how he removed the seal of C'Thun. The young wizard handed the magic book in his hand to Aegwynn, which turned out to be the Book of Medivh.

The Book of Medivh is a magic book created by Sargeras himself after he awakened while lurking in Medivh's body. It records the method of making the Dark Portal and also possesses extremely powerful magic power.

After getting the Book of Medivh, Aegwynn took out the long-unused artifact staff Alunes, carved a magic circle on the ground, then stood in the center of the magic circle, opened the Book of Medivh, and found a powerful magic ray of destruction. In the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Archimonde used this spell to kill countless people.

Aegwynn asked all the mages to inject their mana into her body. Her body was strengthened by the guardian's mana, so she could accomplish such a crazy move. When she could not bear the powerful mana, she immediately cast a destruction ray, shattered C'Thun's largest eye, and then continued to destroy C'Thun's body.

C'Thun's body was completely destroyed, leaving only a pool of extremely smelly liquid. The four dragons immediately sprayed flames at the liquid, burning it to ashes.
