Chapter 19: Page 19

Isidor nodded: "The information we collected also points to that village. This way we can almost determine where Tina is going."

"Great! This is the positioning scroll on Tina's body. As long as you get within a certain distance, it will automatically display her location. And this is the map I got from the intelligence dealer." The uncle said, handing the two rolls of parchment solemnly to Isidor.

"Please rest assured. If Tina is in the village, we will bring her out safely." Isidor took the scroll and gave it to Nymega to keep.

"Okay! Then I'll have to trouble you two!" After the uncle said this, he stood up and bowed deeply to the two of them.

Chapter 40: Scimitar White Tiger

That night, Isidor and Nymega took advantage of the cover of darkness and quietly came to the village that the thieves used as a temporary base. They saw torches lit everywhere in the village and the thieves were carrying things back and forth.

"The scroll lights up, Tina is here." Nymega said in a low voice.

"It seems that there are at least dozens of thieves in the village. According to the information provided by the uncle, their strength may range from D-level to A-level. Calculating the worst case scenario, if the former A-level leader is also here, do you think we have a chance of winning?" asked Isidor.

Nymega groaned for a moment and said, "There is a gap between A-levels. If the opponent had the combat power of my heyday, the odds would be 30-70 against me in a head-on battle."

"Why is it only 70%?" Isidor said with a frown.

"Seventy percent of it belongs to someone else! Thirty percent is the result of taking advantage of this top-quality dagger." said Nymega.

"What if I'm included?" Isidor asked.

"Eighty-twenty," Nymega replied.

"Why is there still 10% less? I'm not Italian." Isidor said dissatisfiedly.

"This time we have eight and the other side has two. If you and I join forces, normal A-level will be no problem at all. But the other side still has a lot of minions under its command. If we attack them as a group, it will still be difficult for us to win." said Nymega.

"In that case, let's not attack by force. Let's get rid of the sentries outside first, and then sneak in." Isidor nodded.

Isidor and Nymega walked around the outskirts of the village and successfully caught a thief who was pretending to pee and taking advantage of the opportunity.

"Do you have any secret sentries?" Isidor hypnotized him and then asked.

"No, we didn't deploy any sentries at all." Under the influence of hypnosis, the thief told the truth without hiding anything.

"It seems that we have worried too much. These people are completely unprepared. Let's just sneak in, take Tina out and leave!" Isidor said, killing the thief with a sword, and then sneaking into the village with Nymega.

As expected, the thieves did not set up any sentry posts, and the two of them sneaked all the way into the village without anyone noticing their whereabouts.

"This wave is stable!" Isidor said secretly.

However, before they could finish their words, they heard a shrill sound coming from beside them, and there was static electricity where they were, obviously something was placed on the ground.

When the thieves heard the noise, they quickly put down their work, picked up their weapons and rushed towards the sound.

"It's a reconnaissance barrier! Damn, the other party can use magic!" Nymega said in panic.

"The plan has changed, follow me and kill!" Isidor drew out the golden sword and chopped down the thief who was rushing forward with one sword.

The thief fell under the sword on the spot, and his body slowly shrank and turned into a golden skeleton.

The thieves were shocked to see his dead appearance and dared not approach him for a moment.

Seeing this, Isidor knew that there was no expert among the thieves, so he shouted and rushed into the crowd with his sword.

"Brothers, here's a tricky idea! Kidnap that woman and threaten him!" The man who looked like a small leader among the thieves hurriedly gave orders.

After hearing this, the bandits quickly divided a dozen of them into two groups and surrounded Nymega. They took out blunt instruments, ropes and other things to prepare to capture her alive.

Nymega shrugged, took out the black dagger given by the dark elf, and chopped down two people at once.

The bandits were startled, not knowing which one to deal with first. Although they had more people, they seemed to be surrounded by two people.

"Master, didn't we agree to sneak in? Why are you getting more and more excited about killing?" Nymega knocked down a thief with a sword and stood next to Isidor.

"Who said that? Killing all the witnesses means sneaking in, right?" Isidor smiled, raised the golden sword in his right hand, and killed the last thief with one sword.

"Now that you mention it...it seems like it might be okay." Nymega said as she put away her dagger.

"We're done!" Isidor put away the golden sword and found the room where Tina was imprisoned according to the direction of the scroll.

The room was locked from the outside, and Isidor was too lazy to look for the key, so he simply broke into the room.

There were about twenty women in the room, most of them were children, and it seemed that they had been captured here by the thieves.

They were dressed in white dresses and tied to a pillar engraved with runes. The pillar constantly emitted a strange light, as if it was absorbing something from them.

"This is an evil art for taming beasts! No wonder there are so many wild beasts in the city." Nymega, who came in later, was shocked when she saw the runes on the pillars.

"The evil art of controlling beasts?"

"Yes, I've only heard about it. It is said that there is a kind of evil magic that can extract human souls and seal them into scrolls, and then use the power of the soul to control monsters. If the thieves really mastered this evil magic, then it can explain why there are so many monsters in the town." Nymega said.

"There's no time to worry about these things. Let's rescue the uncle's daughter first!" Isidor said, and checked around. He found that most of the children had stopped breathing. Only Tina was still alive because she had just been captured.

Nymega cut the rope with her dagger and rescued Tina.

"Dwarf brother? Is that you?" Tina said to Isidor with blurry eyes.

"It's me. I'm here to save you. Your father is nearby, let's go find him together." Isidor said as he picked up Tina and left the room with Nymega.

However, just as the two of them walked out of the village, a cold wind suddenly blew, and a masked woman stood in front of them at some point.

The masked woman had an extremely slim figure, with a crescent-shaped tattoo on her collarbone. She was wearing a translucent green gauze dress. In the moonlight, one could vaguely see her snow-white skin beneath the clothes, which was as smooth as jade from head to toe.

"White Tiger..." Isidor whispered.

"Master, what does white tiger mean?" Nymega asked curiously.

"Ah, the White Tiger refers to the Moon Priestess Tyrande. Warcraft 3 is a real-time strategy game produced by Blizzard Entertainment. The game takes place in a fantasy world called "Azeroth..." Isidor quickly said something casually to fool him.

At this moment, the masked woman in front of him finally took action.

"You are so brave. You killed my people while I was out, and even wanted to steal my magic materials." The masked woman said, taking out a scimitar from her back and dancing with it like the wind in the silver moonlight.

"Master, this fellow is so skilled, he must be the thieves' leader 'Silver Moon Scimitar'." Nymega said beside Isidor.

"Tina, find a place to hide quickly - Nymega, let's go!" Isidor said as he drew out the golden sword, and he and Nymega stood on the left and right, surrounding the masked girl with two pieces of bread and cheese.

The masked woman snorted with disdain, fell forward as if she was unstable, and then swooped down towards Isidor at a strange angle of 30 degrees to the ground, sweeping her scimitar across, aiming straight at Isidor's calf.

Isido was startled and quickly jumped up to avoid the knife. However, the masked woman supported herself on the ground with one hand, then raised her legs suddenly while rushing forward and kicked Isido in the head.

This set of moves was so fast that Isidor couldn't dodge in mid-air. He was hit hard on the face and kicked far away in one breath.

"Master!" Nymega hurriedly swung her sword straight at the back of the masked woman, but the masked woman did not even turn her head back. She just remained in an upside-down position, swung her legs around, kicked Nymega's dagger away, and then did a somersault to stand on the ground again.

"Master, this guy's moves are really weird, and his speed is incredibly fast. Let's join forces!" Nymega hurriedly picked up the dagger and ran to Isidor to join him.

"I'll cover your surprise attack, use Abe to entangle her, and then take the opportunity to kill her with one sword." Isidor whispered.

Nymega nodded, and the two of them rushed forward one after the other.

Isidor roared and slashed with his sword. The masked woman was indeed agile and dodged by turning sideways, taking advantage of the situation to kick with her left leg. However, a sticky rope suddenly shot out from Nymega's sleeves, grabbed her right leg on the ground, and pulled it back fiercely.

The masked woman was startled and fell backwards with her legs in the air.

Isidor took the opportunity to stab her between her legs with his golden sword. However, in the blink of an eye, the masked woman supported herself with one hand to stop herself from falling, and used her other hand to block Isidor's golden sword with her scimitar.

The swords collided with each other, and with a "ping" sound, the scimitar in the masked woman's hand immediately turned into golden fragments.

However, this also bought her a brief time to react. She twisted her legs and avoided Isidor's golden sword by a hair's breadth. She took out a scimitar from somewhere and cut off Abe that was attached to her body with one stroke.

Chapter 41: Judging a Person by His Chest

"It hurts..." Nimega, who was connected to Abe, immediately felt a sharp pain. Fortunately, Abe's repair ability was very strong, and the severed part quickly returned to its body.

At this time, the masked woman slashed again, Isidor and Nymega drew their swords together, and the three of them fought together for a while.

The masked woman was fighting one against two, yet she was able to handle it with ease. Not only did she dodge the attacks flexibly with her ghostly body movements, she even found time to counterattack with kicks at weird angles.

Isidor tried to hypnotize her several times during the fight, but the opponent was too agile. Not to mention staring at her for five seconds, even a blink of an eye would make him miss her position.

After more than a dozen rounds, Isidor and Nymega each had several bruises on their bodies.

If they continued to fight like this, they would probably die at the hands of the bandit leader sooner or later.

"You take Tina and go first, I'll cover you here." Isidor said to Nymega worriedly.

"It's okay, I'm not that fragile." Nymega smiled palely, swung her dagger and rushed forward again.

Seeing this, Isidor had no choice but to follow.

"You're really troublesome. I'll finish you off once and for all this time!" The masked woman seemed a little tired of it. She swung her scimitar to shake off Nymega's dagger, kicked Isidor away, and then slashed with her sword to try to force Nymega back.

Nymega's dagger had been blocked, and she was in no position to block it.

However, this time she did not dodge, but stepped forward and took the knife from the masked woman.

Because Nymega took the initiative to move forward, she shortened the distance that the masked woman could swing her knife, but the knife still hit her abdomen.

At the same time, Nymega also grabbed the arm of the masked woman who was swinging the knife.

"Now!" Nymega shouted.

Isidor was shocked and angry, and he roared and slashed at the masked woman with his sword.

The masked woman struggled to get rid of it but failed, and was chopped into two by Isidor, including the shoulders and chest. Her graceful body fell weakly to the ground, leaving a pool of blood.

"Nimega, are you okay? Are you okay?" After killing the masked woman, Isidor hurried to Nimega and took out a life potion for her to drink.

Nymega was badly injured. The scimitar had cut deep into her abdomen. Blood was constantly flowing out and she looked like she was dying.

"Nimega! Hold on, I'll signal the uncle and ask him to take us back for treatment!" Isidor hurriedly tore off his clothes to wrap Nimega's wound, took out a firework and lit it.

This was the signal agreed upon by Isidor and the uncle. Fireworks shot straight into the sky, and soon the uncle arrived at the scene in a horse-drawn carriage.

"Tina has been rescued, now let's go back to town! Nymega needs treatment!" Isidor said, picking up Nymega with trembling hands and carrying her onto the carriage.

"It's such a blessing to die in my master's arms." Nymega said dazedly.

"What are you talking about, you fool? You are my maid. How can you die before repaying your master's kindness?" Isidor said loudly.

Seeing this, the uncle quickly took Tina into the carriage and drove it all the way to the town.

Hearing that Isidor had killed the bandit leader 'Silver Moon Scimitar', the Adventurer's Guild did not dare to neglect it and hurriedly asked someone to invite the priests of the Church to treat Nymega.

Five priests examined Nymega's injuries one after another, but after seeing them they all shook their heads helplessly.

"She has lost too much blood. If she had been treated with holy magic from the beginning, she might have been saved. Perhaps it was God's will to summon her to the paradise in heaven. All we can do is pray for her," the priest comforted.

"Really... is there no way?" Isidor said in despair.

"Mr. Isidor!" At this moment, Ms. Doramei from the Adventurer's Guild suddenly rushed in breathlessly.

"I heard that you and Miss Nymega destroyed the base of the thieves' group and killed their leader?" Dora Mei asked.

"So what? Even if we kill them all, we can't get Nymega's life back?" Isidor said somewhat frustratedly.

"No, there is a way. Originally this matter could not be disclosed, but you have done a great service to the guild, and I really can't bear to sit back and do nothing." Dora Mei said hesitantly.

"Tell me quickly! Is there any solution?!" Isidor asked, holding Dora Mei's hand as if he was grabbing a life-saving straw.

"You must bring Nimega with you and come with me. You must be alone and no one else can follow you." Dora Mei said.

Isidore nodded rapidly, and hurriedly followed Dora Mei while holding Nymega in his arms.

The two made their way to the center of the town, where stood an abandoned clock tower.

This is the tallest building in the town. Due to years of disrepair, it has lost its timekeeping function and currently seems to be used as a warehouse.

Isidor didn't quite understand why Dora-Mae had brought him here.

"There is a library on top of the bell tower where two mysterious characters are temporarily staying. One of them may be able to save Nymega's life, but I don't know that person's character, so I don't know whether he will help her." Dora Mei said, pointing to the top floor of the bell tower.

"Since you don't understand, how do you know that person has the ability to save Nemea?" Isidor asked worriedly.

"Three years ago, the guild leader was seriously injured, and all the priests were helpless. She happened to pass by and cured the leader - this is why the guild was willing to open the library to her." Dora Mei explained.

"Okay, in that case, I have to make her agree to treat Nymega no matter what." Isidor nodded, took the key from Dora Mei, and opened the door of the bell tower.

Isidor held Nymega in his arms and climbed up the spiral stairs one level at a time. The interior of the bell tower was much larger than he had imagined. On the top floor of the bell tower, there were many tall bookshelves standing straight up to the dome, and their height was almost comparable to the combined height of two or three adults.

Isidor continued to walk forward, and suddenly, a cold blade was silently pressed against his throat.

"I clearly told you not to disturb anyone, so how did you get in?" asked a familiar voice.

"Are you... a dark elf?" Isidor recognized her voice and tried to ask.

"It's you? What are you doing here?" the dark elf asked as he put away his dagger.

"Nimega is seriously injured, please save her!" Isidor said quickly.
