Chapter 182: Defeat them one by one

Meanwhile, Jiang Mo was panting heavily as he sprinted through the somewhat desolate outskirts, the dust kicked up by his feet trailing behind him like a long tail.

His forehead was covered in large beads of sweat, constantly dripping down his cheeks.

"NND, when I get back this time, I must hurry and hatch Charmander!" Jiang Mo muttered to himself as he ran.

This place was remote, quite a distance from the city.

All around were overgrown wastelands and sparse groves, with only the occasional Growl of a Rattata and Pidgey, making the solitude even more pronounced.

However, Jiang Mo did not choose to run towards the bustling city, but instead headed in the direction of the even more desolate area, further away from the city.

The Black-Clad Men had repeatedly tried to capture him, and Jiang Mo had long harbored a belly full of anger. Now, why wouldn't he seize this opportunity to show them a thing or two in return?

After all, even a clay figure would have three parts of anger after being targeted like this repeatedly.

Jiang Mo didn't want to keep taking hits passively; he wanted to take the initiative and keep these people here forever.

Soon, the Black-Clad Men, riding their flying Pokémon, furiously caught up.

Several Fearow swooped through the sky, bringing with them gusts of wind.

Seeing this, Jiang Mo's brow furrowed slightly, but he quickly calmed down; he had his own plan.

Jiang Mo utilized Gengar's elusive abilities, directing it to constantly create various disturbances in the surrounding woods and bushes.

The purpose was to create the illusion that his presence was everywhere.

The Black-Clad Men were disoriented by this, completely unsure where Jiang Mo was actually hiding.

In desperation, they could only split up, each searching for Jiang Mo's tracks in different directions.

Seeing this, Jiang Mo's lips curved slightly upward, secretly pleased; it seemed his plan had succeeded.

Separating them made it much simpler to defeat them one by one.

This place would become the graveyard he had meticulously prepared for them.

One of the Black-Clad Men happened to be chasing in Jiang Mo's direction.

"Hahahahaha, I found you!"

The moment he saw Jiang Mo, his face instantly revealed an excited and ferocious expression, as if he could already see the generous reward for capturing Jiang Mo.

He impatiently commanded all of his Pokémon to swarm forward immediately.

"Jiang Mo, you can't escape!" The Black-Clad Man yelled with a sinister grin.

Jiang Mo merely sneered, calmly and swiftly releasing Goodra from its Poké Ball.

As soon as Goodra appeared, it majestically stretched its body.

Immediately after, Jiang Mo commanded Goodra to use the Wide Guard skill. Goodra's body glowed with a faint light, which quickly spread out, forming a solid defensive barrier.

The Black-Clad Man's Pokémon's attacks rained down like bullets, but Goodra easily blocked them.

The attacks hitting the light shield only caused ripples, unable to break through the defense line.

Seeing this, the Black-Clad Man's heart immediately grew anxious. He was so focused on quickly catching Jiang Mo that he completely overlooked the fact that he had no Pokémon protecting his safety at that moment.

And Gengar, hidden in the shadows, its pair of red eyes fixed intently on the Black-Clad Man, a cold glint flashing in its eyes.

It wouldn't let go of such a good opportunity.

Gengar swiftly used the Phantom Force skill, its figure instantly disappearing from its original spot.

"Gengar!"

The next second, it appeared silently behind the Black-Clad Man. Before the Black-Clad Man could react, Gengar launched a fatal attack, directly taking his head.

"Thud!"

With a dull thud, the Black-Clad Man's lifeless body fell to the ground.

Blood instantly gushed from his neck, staining the ground red, the vivid crimson appearing particularly striking against the withered yellow grass.

His Pokémon, suddenly deprived of their Trainer's command, immediately fell into chaos.

The weaker Pokémon were scared and fled in panic, clearly indicating that their bond with their Trainer was not very deep.

However, two Gym Leader Class Pokémon remained loyal, even without their Trainer's command, they fought to the death, launching another attack towards Jiang Mo and his Pokémon.

But with the tacit cooperation of Gengar and Goodra, they were ultimately outnumbered and quickly dealt with.

The other Black-Clad Men heard the commotion from this side, a bad premonition rising in their hearts, and quickly rode their flying Pokémon to catch up.

Jiang Mo, however, remained calm, repeating his trick. Relying on Gengar's flexible and changeable movements, he led them in circles through the woods and desolate land in the outskirts, once again scattering them.

Then, Jiang Mo seized the opportunity, repeatedly launching decapitation strikes against the isolated Black-Clad Men.

"Ah!"

"Ugh!"

As screams echoed one after another across the outskirts, the Black-Clad Men fell one by one. They had no time to make an effective response before Jiang Mo defeated them individually.

The group of people who had been so imposing now lay sprawled on the ground, lifeless.

It wasn't until the last Black-Clad Man fell that Jiang Mo finally breathed a sigh of relief. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, panting slightly.

Meanwhile, Pikachu, Flareon, and Tyranitar were not idle; they successfully teamed up to defeat Empoleon and Meganium.

Jiang Mo looked at the Black-Clad Men's corpses on the ground and couldn't help but say mockingly, "Indeed, wild battles are different from regular Pokémon battles; there are no rules."

"It's just a pity that the ones the rules might protect... should be you, right?"

Jiang Mo shook his head, yet felt no guilt in his heart.

After all, he had committed many acts of murder and arson, and was already well-versed in such matters.

Towards his enemies, Jiang Mo naturally would not show mercy. In his opinion, being soft-hearted towards enemies was being cruel to oneself.

The bodies of those Black-Clad Men and Pokémon lying on the ground were, after all, not something to leave as they were.

After pondering for a moment, Jiang Mo had Gengar use the Acid Bomb skill.

Gengar spewed out clusters of pungent acid from its mouth. The acid fell on the bodies, quickly corroding them beyond recognition, turning them into a puddle of acid.

"The Li family, huh? Just wait, I'll get you sooner or later..." Jiang Mo muttered in a low voice, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

Immediately, he quickly and carefully inspected the battlefield, confirming that no clues were left behind, then he contentedly recalled his Pokémon, preparing to leave this troubled place.

"Oh, little brother, you're quite skilled at this, it seems you've done this quite a bit."

Just then, a female voice came from the sky, carrying a hint of teasing and an inscrutable meaning, appearing particularly abrupt in the quiet outskirts.

Jiang Mo's body tensed immediately, and he quickly turned around. When he clearly saw the woman's appearance, he couldn't help but curse inwardly, secretly lamenting his misfortune.

The woman stood on the back of an Aerodactyl, her figure graceful yet exuding a dangerous aura.

"Hunter J!"

At this moment, Hunter J's lips curved slightly upward, and her gaze towards Jiang Mo was like that of a cat looking at a mouse.
