Jiang Mo strode confidently towards the battlefield, his gaze fixed on Mu Jinchen across the field. Mu Jinchen wore a self-assured expression, his eyes gleaming with an undeniable sharpness.
Rotom floated above the field and loudly announced, "The Kyoto University selection final now begins! The rules are: each side will send out three Pokémon, and they can be rotated until all three Pokémon on one side are no longer able to battle. Now, both sides, please send out your first Pokémon!"
Mu Jinchen was the first to throw a Poké Ball. A blue light flashed, and a nimble Gallade appeared on the field. He held two blade-like arms, his posture erect, exuding a powerful aura, and his gaze vigilantly fixed on the opponent.

After scanning with the game panel, Jiang Mo roughly understood Gallade's basic information.
Without haste, he reached for a Poké Ball at his waist, and with a gentle toss, Pikachu's adorable figure bounced out.
"Pika Pika!"
Pikachu cried out, showing no weakness, his small ears perked up, and his electric sacs flickering with currents, as if challenging his opponent.
Seeing this, Rotom shouted, "Battle begin!"
Mu Jinchen immediately commanded, "Gallade, strike first, use Swords Dance!"
Upon hearing this, Gallade quickly began to swing his arms, his body spinning, and a powerful aura gathered around him.
Jiang Mo's lips curved into a slight smile as he called out, "Pikachu, don't let him succeed! Use Quick Attack to rush over and interrupt him, then use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu obeyed, instantly transforming into a yellow lightning bolt, dashing towards Gallade, who was performing Swords Dance. His speed was so swift that he was in front of Gallade in the blink of an eye.
Gallade's Swords Dance was interrupted by this sudden impact. Before he could regain his balance, electricity surged around Pikachu, and a crackling Thunderbolt violently blasted towards him.
Gallade reacted extremely quickly, crossing his arms in front of him to block, enduring the Thunderbolt, but his body was slightly numbed by the electricity.
This was Pikachu's Static ability taking effect, and Gallade was now paralyzed.
But before Jiang Mo could feel happy, Gallade somehow pulled out a Lum Berry, chomped it down in two bites, and instantly cured his paralysis.
Mu Jinchen shouted, "Gallade, well done! Now use Sacred Sword and charge!"
Gallade pushed off the ground with both feet, lunging fiercely towards Pikachu, his blade-like arms gleaming with a cold light as he slashed at Pikachu.
Jiang Mo frowned slightly and shouted, "Pikachu, quickly dodge! Jump to the left, then use Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu nimbly leaped to the left, narrowly avoiding Gallade's attack. Immediately, he enveloped himself in a powerful electrical current and charged towards Gallade.
Gallade couldn't dodge in time and was hit head-on by Volt Tackle. He stumbled back several steps, but relying on his sturdy blades, he managed to withstand the blow without falling.
Seeing Gallade injured, Mu Jinchen felt a surge of anxiety and shouted, "Gallade, use Swords Dance again to increase your power, then counter with Psycho Cut!"
Gallade endured the pain and spun again. After completing Swords Dance, a blue light flashed in his eyes, and two Psycho Cuts shot towards Pikachu.
Jiang Mo, knowing the power of Psycho Cut, quickly shouted, "Pikachu, quickly use Double Team, then use Agility to dodge!"
Pikachu moved rapidly, his form blurring into multiple afterimages, avoiding the Psycho Cut. Jiang Mo seized the opportunity to recall Pikachu, then threw out Eevee's Poké Ball.
As soon as Eevee appeared, she shook her soft fur, her large eyes warily fixed on the opposing Gallade.
Jiang Mo shouted, "Eevee, use Disarming Voice to disrupt him!"
Eevee opened her small mouth and emitted a melodious yet strangely magical sound that traveled towards Gallade.
Upon hearing the sound, Gallade became momentarily disoriented, and his attack rhythm was disrupted.
Seeing this, Mu Jinchen quickly shouted, "Gallade, pull yourself together! Use Calm Mind, don't let her affect you!"
Gallade forcefully steadied his mind, closed his eyes, and began to meditate, a faint glow emanating from his body.
Eevee immediately evolved into Sylveon, and Jiang Mo then shouted, "Sylveon, use Dazzling Gleam!"
Several energy orbs quickly condensed in front of Sylveon, then launched towards Gallade, who was meditating.
With several 'booms,' Dazzling Gleam exploded around Gallade. Gallade was thrown backward by the force of the explosions, suffering significant damage due to the 2x effectiveness.
Mu Jinchen gritted his teeth and shouted, "Gallade, don't give up! Use Psycho Cut to counter!"
Gallade steadied himself, waved his hands, and several Psycho Cuts instantly shot out, rushing towards Sylveon.
Seeing this, Jiang Mo immediately shouted, "Sylveon, use Protect!"
A transparent shield instantly appeared around Eevee. The Psycho Cuts struck the shield, and although most were blocked, a few attacks still pierced through the shield, scratching Eevee's body. Eevee whimpered in pain.
Mu Jinchen saw his chance and shouted, "Gallade, one last Psycho Cut to finish her!"
Gallade concentrated, once again conjuring a powerful Psycho Cut and firing it at Eevee.
Jiang Mo yelled, "Sylveon, quickly dodge, then use Moonblast!"
Eevee leaped to the side with all her might but failed to completely dodge the Psycho Cut. Then, enduring the sharp pain, she charged towards Gallade, enveloped in a white glow, unleashing Moonblast with all her strength.
Gallade couldn't dodge in time and was hit head-on by the attack. Finally, he collapsed from exhaustion, losing his ability to battle.
Mu Jinchen recalled Gallade, his expression somewhat grim. He then threw out his second Poké Ball, "Go, Raichu!"
