At sea.
Tina had thought that Grand Duke Moriya was simply venting his anger and frustration, engaging in a skirmish with Earl Hall. Yet, their battle raged on for three days and three nights, even sending the teleportation portal plunging into the ocean depths.
She had no choice but to unite the high-ranking knights and join them in searching for the portal beneath the sea.
Once the portal was found, Tina stepped through it and returned to the imperial capital.
Since the portal was located outside the tall tower of Paula, Tina immediately caught sight of Paula's tower upon her arrival.
Outside the tower, a new wave of human troops had gathered, preparing to use the portal to reinforce the expeditionary forces.
Tina spotted Sophie with her silver short hair. For some reason, Sophie seemed familiar, but now wasn't the time to dwell on such thoughts.
Tina halted the procession and shouted loudly,
"I am Tina, the naval admiral of the expeditionary forces and the highest-ranking commander under the Earl. The seaside base has been destroyed in an accident and is no longer usable. You must not pass through the portal for now. Stay where you are and await further orders."
Tina's words instantly stirred a commotion among the human forces.
"What? The base was destroyed? How could this happen?"
"Was it an attack by sea monsters?"
"What are we to do? When will the naval base be repaired?"
"Tina, I am General Vic, the officer in charge of supplies for this mission. Can you tell me when the base will be restored?"
The leading general approached Tina, but she had no patience to explain the situation. Ignoring Vic's questions, she walked straight into the tower.
Vic had never encountered such an impolite woman. He followed her, taking large strides,
"Tina, do you mean to ignore me?"
Tina didn't want to explain herself and quickened her pace upstairs.
"Tina, do you know who I am? I am—"
Before General Vic could reveal his illustrious background, Tina pressed her sword against his throat,
"Vic Dole of the Dole family, I know who you are, but please remain silent. What I must do now concerns the entire expeditionary war."
Tina was unaware of Hall's conspiracy. In her eyes, Earl Hall remained the hero who brought hope to humanity.
She knew that if Grand Duke Moriya killed Earl Hall, the entire expeditionary force would lose its leader and would surely be defeated in the upcoming war.
At that point, it wouldn't just be the deaths of a few thousand soldiers but potentially tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, marching to their doom.
Tina found Paula, who was studying a magical tome, and said, "Miss Paula, please go now and stop the Grand Duke and the Earl from fighting."
Paula looked up in confusion, "Tina? What fight?"
"Grand Duke Moriya is currently battling the Earl. He likely believes that Leon Moriya's death was the Earl's doing. The entire base has been destroyed, and from the Grand Duke's determination, he won't stop until the Earl is dead."
Tina spoke with urgency.
If there was anyone who could stop the clash between these two seven-star Order Knights, it would be the legendary witch Paula.
General Vic Dole, who had followed Tina to the tower, only then realized the severity of the situation.
What? Did Earl Hall kill Leon Moriya?
Did Grand Duke Moriya challenge Earl Hall to a duel at sea?
Vic's expression turned pale as he grasped the enormity of the situation.
This news, if it broke out, would shake the empire to its core.
Paula's worst fears had come to pass. She closed her magical tome and immediately followed Tina through the portal back to sea.
Unfortunately, Leon couldn't be brought along to resolve the misunderstanding. All they could do was hope he would return soon from Fia with useful information.
Vic Dole was left behind to stabilize the situation. He, too, had no desire to meddle in the battle between the two seven-star Knights, as it would be nothing short of suicidal.
Anna, Sophie, and Annie also wanted to go through the portal but were stopped by Vic Dole.
"You cannot go. The sea is in the midst of fierce combat. No one is allowed to pass."
"General, can you tell us what's happening?"
Anna asked gently.
Faced with the beautiful twins, Vic Dole had no resistance. He leaned in close to Anna and whispered, "Grand Duke Moriya has gone to avenge Earl Hall."
Vic Dole believed that even if he didn't spread the news, the naval officers would eventually leak it, making it a scandal that would shake the empire. He was merely getting ahead of it.
Anna nodded slightly, "I'll keep the secret."
Vic Dole looked at Anna with approval, "Yes, this must be kept absolutely confidential. Not a word to anyone."
Sophie gazed coldly at Vic Dole,
"Let me through. I am a witch."
Anna tried to stop her, but it was too late.
Sophie's voice was soft but clear, and Vic Dole had already heard her.
"A witch? Why would you think you can go in? The situation is even more dangerous for witches."
"Wasn't the one who went earlier a witch?"
Annie countered, "Isn't Paula Hall a witch?"
"Miss Paula Hall is a special case. She doesn't face the risk of losing control at sea, and she's the one who created the portal. Ordinary witches can't be compared to her."
Vic Dole admired their beauty but couldn't defy his principles by allowing a witch to pass through the portal.
A crystal ice blade appeared in Sophie's hand, its edge mere millimeters from Vic Dole's throat. "Either you die here, or you step aside."
"You!! Do you know who I am?"
"I am the Ice Witch, Sophie Oma. You can choose to die by my sword or live to accuse me and send me to a military tribunal."
Sophie's face was emotionless, but the chilling aura emanating from her caused Vic Dole's legs to tremble.
He knew he couldn't afford to offend a witch, especially one as renowned as Sophie.
Sophie successfully passed through the portal and arrived at sea.
Annie was about to follow but was pulled back by Anna.
"A battle of that scale isn't something we can interfere in."
"Sister, but—"
Annie felt reluctant but ultimately decided to follow Anna's lead.
Tina and Paula turned and saw a stunning silver-haired girl.
Her beauty rivaled even Paula's, and she appeared younger than Paula.
Sophie looked at Paula, recalling that in Leon's dream conference, she had learned that Leon would one day marry Paula, the fiancée chosen for him by Jack Moriya.
Today, she finally laid eyes on Paula.
As for Leon's marriage, Sophie had no particular feelings about it. She knew that witches couldn't marry, and Paula was an exception, not a Guardian Witch.
Paula also looked at Sophie. She had once investigated Leon's background and knew how he obsessively adored the Guardian Witch Sophie of the Green Shade Territory, sending her a bouquet of flowers every day, even when he wasn't there. His servants continued the tradition in his absence.
Their gazes met for a moment before they both looked away.
Tina looked at Sophie's silver hair, furrowing her brows in concern, "Who are you? Why have you come here?"
The sky suddenly filled with heavy snow, as if answering Tina's question.
"I am the Ice Witch, Sophie Oma."
Paula introduced Sophie, who wasn't one for many words, "You shouldn't be here."
"I've come to kill Hall."
Sophie's expression was indifferent as she caught a snowflake.
The sea beneath the Blue Whale instantly began to freeze, forming a land of ice and snow, with silver dominating the landscape.
This sight stunned all the naval officers and crew.
Tina hadn't expected Sophie to follow with the intent to kill Earl Hall. She had already guessed something from Sophie's hair color.
Sophie could be the missing daughter of the Kofman family. Silver hair was a hallmark of the Kofmans, a trait exclusive to their bloodline.
That's why Sophie had seemed familiar at first glance.
But now wasn't the time for a family reunion.
"I'm sorry, but I won't allow anyone to harm my father."
"You're not worthy of being his fiancée."
These words ignited Paula's anger.
Over time, despite the issues with Earl Hall, her relationship with Leon had not only not grown distant but had actually progressed rapidly. Paula had already decided in her heart that Leon was her future husband, and yet Sophie dared to say she wasn't worthy of being his fiancée.
Where did Sophie get such confidence? Was she trying to openly compete with her for Leon's affection?
Meeting a rival only intensified the rivalry.
The Flame Devil, Cruze, felt some regret for following them. He transformed into a ball of fire and discreetly snatched the dragon egg from Paula's pocket.
Cruze and the dragon egg, Alexander, successfully passed through the portal and returned to the tower.
He had no desire to get involved in a battle between witches of this caliber, lest he be caught in the crossfire and killed.
Cruze had lost his former arrogance. Now, he was just a caretaker, primarily responsible for looking after Alexander.
He looked forward to the future, hoping that one day Alexander would rise to prominence in the demon world.
"Wait, you can't fight here. If you do, the entire human army will be wiped out."
Tina felt her head pounding. They had come to fetch reinforcements to stop the two Knights' battle, but now two witches were about to clash as well. This wasn't just a battle for the Dragon Throne; it would mean the annihilation of humanity.
"Give me time to evacuate the troops first."
Sophie looked at Tina and felt an unusual sense of closeness, which softened her tone.
"I'll give you time, but take the army and leave first."
Tina was exasperated by Sophie.
Did Sophie really think an ordinary witch like herself could defeat a legendary witch?
"Sophie, don't act impulsively. I know you may have also been helped by Leon, but Lord Earl's death was not caused by the Count."
This was all Tina could say to persuade Sophie, but Sophie had her own judgment. "I trust the Grand Duke of Moria."
"If you want to kill my father, you'll have to step over my corpse."
Paula thought that since Leon hadn't explained the truth to Sophie and the others, she didn't need to explain it now either. This witch wanted to kill her father, and Paula would never back down.
Unlike Paula, Sophie didn't have a happy childhood. She was an orphan and had been at the Guardian Bureau since she was conscious. Before she even grew up, she was assigned to the Green Clover Territory.
Before meeting Leon, her life was only filled with responsibility.
After meeting Leon, she finally had a sense of self and the courage to keep living.
Losing Leon was like losing the sunlight in Sophie's life.
Although Sophie was the Ice and Snow Witch, her soul was terrified of that biting cold. She didn't want to live alone in a snow-covered country without sunlight.
So, even if her enemy was Paula, a legendary witch whom all witches admired, Sophie felt no fear.
Tina realized she couldn't persuade the two witches at all. She gritted her teeth and turned to everyone on the Blue Whale ship, "Return to Azure Dragon City! Avoid the witches' battle!!"
Tina was an outstanding commander. Under her leadership, the troops retreated in an orderly manner through the teleportation portal and gathered outside the Quiet Forest near the high tower.
This was also thanks to Paula's high tower being located in the vast suburbs. Otherwise, it couldn't have accommodated so many soldiers.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it!"
Tina was furious and wanted to kill someone. Although she had called back all the surviving guards and knights, her mood was worse than eating dog shit.
General Vic saw so many returning soldiers and couldn't help but approach Tina to ask what had happened, but he was punched by Tina for no reason.
Tina's anger had nowhere to vent, and General Vic had unfortunately become her target.
The Earl of Yar Frank and the Earl of Sam Isaac, who had just returned to Azure Dragon City, immediately left the Quiet Forest under the escort of the Knights' Union. They were going to the palace to meet Emperor Augustus and would take both the Earl of Hol and the Grand Duke of Moria to the highest military court.
These two men had ruined the expedition and nearly got them all killed.
Sophie looked at the only remaining ship on the sea, the Dawn.
She asked indifferently, "Why haven't you left?"
"Milady, we are members of the Dawn Knights. We are Lord Leon's blood servants and do not wish to leave. We also want to avenge Lord Leon!"
Freddie said loudly.
"Yes! We've heard that the Grand Duke of Moria is taking revenge on the Earl of Hol for Lord Leon. We also want to avenge Lord Leon. Please let us join the battle!"
"Milady, you can't face such a terrifying existence alone."
The blood servants wanted to stay and help because they were equally loyal to Leon and were worried that Sophie, as an ordinary witch, couldn't confront a legendary witch.
Sophie slightly raised her head, her silver eyelashes trembling gently.
Paula's eyebrows furrowed tighter. "This is not a war you can interfere in. Leon saved you precisely because he didn't want you to throw your lives away. Leave here and wait for your master to return."
"Milady, will Lord Leon return?"
Freddie clenched his fists and asked angrily.
"Yes."
Paula gave this answer almost without thinking.
Sophie raised her hand, and a cold wind mixed with snowflakes blew toward the Dawn, sending the entire ship into the teleportation portal.
The Dawn and the 300 people on board returned to Azure Dragon City.
The teleportation portal was then closed.
This foiled Cameron's plan to slip through the portal during the chaos.
"Damn it, I missed the chance and now I have to go by sea."
Cameron curled his lips in dissatisfaction and muttered.
"I have an idea."
Ellie suddenly spoke up.
"What is it?"
Cameron and Aishi looked at Ellie.
Ellie raised a finger. "From my Hell Domain, in theory, if the gate of the Hell Domain is opened again, it can lead to anywhere."
"Refuse, we'll die if we go in."
Cameron and Aishi would rather go by sea than go through hell.
Ellie sighed softly.
Meanwhile, at sea.
Paula blinked and found herself stepping into Sophie's Snow Country.
The cold wind was like a knife, bitterly piercing, and the snow covered this vast land made of ice, endless and boundless.
The sea surface had been frozen by the severe cold, with cracks glinting in the sunlight like silver.
She stepped on the soft snow, each step making a "crunch" sound, like a symphony welcoming her.
In this pure white world, Paula seemed to be the only living being. Her breath condensed into white mist in the air, as if every exhaled breath was expressing her amazement at this new world.
In the distance, there were towering snow-capped mountains, and behind them, a gigantic ice crystal castle could be faintly seen.
This was the ability of a high-level witch. The strength of the domain was defined by magical power.
Sophie's ability to create such a vast Snow Country slightly surprised Paula.
"It seems I may have underestimated your power. Sorry, but I must also use my full strength."
Paula also unleashed her domain — the Fairy Tale World.
A warm breeze swept across the icy land, covering it with a layer of colorful clothing, as if a painter was freely brushing his palette on the white canvas, adding colorful warmth.
Mountains, rivers, and flowers came to life.
A thin mist lingered, and several painted wooden houses could be vaguely seen, their roofs covered with a layer of dew, sparkling like jewels.
A small stream flowed by, with a few flower petals floating on the water, swaying gently.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground, as if fairies were jumping through the forest, leaving trails of golden footprints.
In the flower bushes, butterflies and bees buzzed busily, their wings fluttering softly, accompanied by the singing of birds, forming a lively symphony.
A deer leisurely grazed on the grass, occasionally raising its head to look into the distance, its gentle eyes full of curiosity for this wonderful world.
The afternoon sun was warm and gentle. In the exquisite courtyards, roses and lilies intertwined into a colorful ocean, fragrant and vibrant.
Occasionally, girls in colorful dresses, holding pumpkins, played hide-and-seek among the flowers. Their laughter echoed in the air, bringing lively rhythm to this quiet world.
A boy wearing a straw hat held a white lamb in his arms, grasping a handful of green beans, singing a cheerful song.
A man in a clown mask danced with a girl in red dancing shoes, spinning and leaping as if attending a grand ball.
Men in top hats were hosting a forest party, inviting various strange animals, including reindeer with birds on their heads, rabbits stepping on blueberries, four-eyed crows, and three-headed elves.
On the distant mountains, a magnificent castle appeared, with a sleeping giant dragon circling above it.
Inside the castle, a beautiful princess was hosting a banquet, surrounded by knights.
Paula rarely activated her domain for a reason — once activated, all life forms within the domain would become part of her Fairy Tale World.
In other words, the living would lose their lives, and demons would be devoured, becoming part of the Fairy Tale World.
This ability was somewhat like a fairy tale book, but what made it even more irreversible was that even Paula couldn't extract anyone from her domain unless they were a witch as powerful as herself.
This was also why Paula never used her domain in front of Leon.
In fact, every character in her Fairy Tale World was a demon that had been absorbed.
Sophie's Snow Country was about to be completely replaced by the Fairy Tale World, and she sensed the crisis within. She decided to attack first.
Sophie raised her hand, and countless ice spears appeared in the sky, instantly charging toward Paula. Their sharpness surpassed arrows and blades, leaving trails in the air.
The clown-masked man took out a balloon, quickly blew it up, and a giant balloon blocked the path of the ice spears. The moment they touched, the balloon turned into a huge fireball, exploding magnificently in the sky, melting all the ice spears.
"Leave now, and no one will get hurt."
Paula gave Sophie her final warning.
She still hadn't expanded her domain to its limit.
As long as Sophie retreated, Paula wouldn't harm her.
Paula didn't want to fight the witch, nor did she want to hurt Leon's friend.
"This goes for you too."
Sophie, expressionless, grasped a long silver spear from thin air.
She darted through the sky like a flash of lightning, charging toward Paula.
Everywhere Sophie passed turned back into an icy, snow-covered land.
Her body was wrapped in a layer of blizzard, like a tornado, carrying destructive power as she stormed into Paula's Fairy Tale World.
The boy holding the white lamb stood up and threw a handful of green beans.
The little boy holding the white lamb stood up and threw a handful of green beans.
The pea shoots grew rapidly from the ground, forming a massive green vine wall that stretched toward the sky, attempting to block the invading blizzard.
Sophie swung her long spear, piercing a hole through the gigantic vine wall and passing through it.
As Sophie crossed the wall, the entire green structure was frozen into ice.
The city wall developed spiderweb-like cracks and then shattered into pieces of green ice crystals, scattering through the air.
The little boy tossed out another handful of peas.
The peas grew into two gigantic vine giants, each nearly twenty meters tall.
The vine giants charged toward Sophie, intending to bind her, but were suppressed by her domain.
In the instant they met, the vine giants were frozen into ice sculptures.
The little boy, holding the white lamb, retreated into a colorful wooden house, as if he never wanted to come out again.
The man in the clown mask threw out numerous colorful balls, each growing an eye that locked onto Sophie as they charged toward her.
Upon contact with Sophie, the balls exploded.
Each explosion was accompanied by deafening roars, scorching heat, and fiery blasts, creating a furnace-like hell.
The flames once again illuminated the sky.
Layers of frost covered Sophie's body, allowing her to pass through the explosions unharmed.
Even so, her clothes showed signs of being scorched.
The distance between Sophie and Dorothy seemed to stretch involuntarily, making it impossible for Sophie to approach.
She realized that she might need to defeat all the fairy tale creatures Dorothy had created to truly harm Dorothy.
Dim lights flickered on, illuminating the clown, who moved like a ghost with an eerie smile.
He swept up the girl in red dance shoes, and they appeared on an empty stage, dancing a waltz as the melody echoed through the air, like an invitation from another world.
Sophie gripped her ice spear tightly, coldly observing the surreal dance, her gaze sharp as ice, piercing through the illusions.
As the dance quickened, the clown and the girl in red shoes seemed to pull time and space into their vortex. But Sophie did not lose herself; her figure darted through the steps. Suddenly, she swung her spear, unleashing an icy power that froze the dancing pair in an instant.
The air filled with the scent of frost as the clown and the girl in red shoes shattered into starlight, vanishing into the darkness.
Sophie's spear was tinged with a hint of crimson as the illusion dissipated.
Sophie turned around; the little girl's pumpkin had transformed into a pumpkin monster, which she rode with a grotesque smile, charging toward Sophie.
Anything the pumpkin monster touched turned into a pumpkin.
Sophie quickly retreated, maintaining a safe distance from the monster.
She crouched down, her slender fingers lightly touching the cold ground.
A chill rose from beneath the earth, and with her gesture, layer upon layer of translucent ice walls, like summoned giants, erupted from the land.
The ice wall towered high, resembling a fortress of ice, trapping the pumpkin monster and the helpless girl outside. Sophie stood before the wall, her eyes as cold as ice, reflecting off the ice like a queen commanding everything.
With her gesture, the ice wall began to move slowly but steadily backward, like a glacier sliding across the ground. The pumpkin monster roared in anger and pain as its body began to deform under the pressure, while the girl's screams grew more desperate. The relentless ice crushed both, reducing them to dust that dispersed into the air.
Sophie gazed at the empty ground left by the defeated monster, her brows furrowed. The fairy tale world was filled with too many monsters, even for her.
But without eliminating them, she couldn't reach Dorothy.
Sophie clasped her hands and began to chant.
With ancient incantations, ice knights rose from the ground, followed by an army of armored snowmen. Sophie, like the queen of ice, led her forces, swinging her spear through the air with a whoosh.
The cavalry and snowmen charged, ready to crush all enemies.
Dorothy's brows furrowed, realizing Sophie was extraordinary.
Magic of such intensity would normally lose control after one use, but Sophie remained stable.
Dorothy whistled.
The dragon circling the castle awakened and dove toward the ice army.
The castle's princess ended the ball and led her knights and soldiers to battle.
The fairy tale army, along with various strange characters, formed a battle line, ready to defend their home against the invaders.
The two armies clashed; the dragon breathed blue flames, igniting the ice knights.
But they, being lifeless, pressed on without fear.
Sophie threw her spear, aiming straight for Dorothy's heart.
"Useless," Dorothy said, raising her hand to conjure invisible barriers.
The spear shattered layer after layer of barriers, reaching Dorothy.
Dorothy grabbed the spear, shattering it with her magic.
But in the next moment, she realized Sophie had vanished from the front lines and appeared beside her.
Dorothy turned, feeling an icy presence.
Sophie's sword pressed against Dorothy's neck. "I admit, if this continues, my magic will run out first, and I'll die. But you could live on. Do you truly wish to die?"
"Leave now, and I won't kill you."
Dorothy's face darkened. "Otherwise, I'll show you true hell."
Sophie slashed her sword, leaving a red line across Dorothy's neck.
Her head fell, landing in the fairy tale world.
The dragon, princess, knights, dwarves, and monsters rushed to tear Dorothy's body apart, including her head, ignoring the ice army's attacks.
Sophie watched the empty ground left by the defeated monster, her brows furrowed. The fairy tale world was filled with too many monsters, even for her.

The fairy tale army, along with various
When Li En appeared, Sophie and Dorothy both stopped in time.
The fairy tale world collapsed in an instant.
The Ice and Snow Kingdom was also collapsing.
Sophie, whose magic was nearly depleted, felt her consciousness grow fuzzy and wondered if she was hallucinating.
It wasn't until Li En embraced her, holding her tightly in his arms and gently calling out her name, that she realized it was real.
"Sophie."
"Li En?"
Sophie's voice was weak.
Li En nodded heavily and cleared the terms for Sophie, who was on the verge of losing control.
Sophie fainted into Li En's arms.
Compared to Sophie, who had exhausted all her strength, Dorothy seemed to be in control, even though she had nearly been killed earlier and was only saved by Li En's timely arrival.
But her mood was terrible.
Because even though he was so close to both of them, he chose Sophie.
Dorothy had thought that after these days of spending time together, she had found a place in Li En's heart.
His meticulous care and attention toward her seemed to prove it.
But now, it seemed she had appeared too late.
The black dragon, which had appeared at some unknown time, flapped its wings and landed beside Dorothy, stretching out its tongue to affectionately lick her.
Dorothy looked at the black dragon and exclaimed excitedly, "Alexander, you've hatched!"
Alexander nodded his dragon head and licked Dorothy again, nuzzling her with his nose.
Alexander loved his mother dearly; she had raised him.
If he had to choose between his father and mother, he would undoubtedly pick his mother without hesitation.
The reason he left before the witches' battle began to find his father was to bring him here and save his mother.
Alexander was a wise black dragon, and his guess had been correct—Li En could indeed save his mother.
Dorothy laughed as Alexander nuzzled her, her gloomy mood lifting.
Alexander lowered his head obediently, inviting her to ride on his back.
Dorothy climbed on, and Alexander immediately took to the sky with his mother, showing off his ability to soar through the heavens.
Watching Alexander and Dorothy soar in the sky, Li En shook his head in resignation.
"Indeed, do all sons prefer their mothers?"
"You're alive, which is wonderful."
Sophie opened her eyes.
Her consciousness had cleared.
"You see, I'm doing well. I told you, I won't die. But you—"
"You said I'm not the guardian of the Emerald Realm. I'm just your guardian."
"Yes, I'm your—"
Li En pulled Sophie closer, as if he wanted to merge her into his body.
"My Emerald Bird died," Sophie said suddenly, her voice tinged with sadness.
"It's okay, I'll help you find another pet."
Li En released Sophie and pinched her tender, dewy cheeks.
Sophie looked up at the black dragon soaring in the sky, deep in thought.
"That dragon doesn't seem like it will die."
"Uh—it's not—it's theoretically my child. Its name is Alexander."
Sophie looked at Li En with some confusion.
"It's a long story, but if you want to raise a dragon, I can try to get you a dragon egg."
Li En believed Dorothy could raise Alexander, and Sophie probably could too. After all, dragon eggs wouldn't die, right?
Sophie wasn't a foodie; she wouldn't be like him, constantly thinking about eating a dragon egg to gain strength.
All he needed to do was offer a sacrifice to the **Alluring Mouth**, and there was a chance he could obtain a dragon egg.
Of course, there was also a chance of being influenced, just like how he was once affected by the **Eye of Misfortune**.
The influence of the **Alluring Mouth** was more subtle. Li En only discovered the **Beguilement Seed** term on himself after dying once.
Now that term was gone, but he still felt uneasy.
Even so, if Sophie wanted it, Li En was willing to take the risk.
He had already thought of a way to avoid the influence of the **Beguilement Seed**.
"No need," Sophie said, shaking her head.
She wasn't particularly interested in dragons, anyway. She just wanted a small pet she could carry around.
This relieved Li En.
As far as he knew, there were only two true dragons in this world: Alexander, raised by Dorothy, and the evil dragon owned by Randall.
If he didn't seek out the **Alluring Mouth**, the only other option would be to let the two dragons mate.
Not that he knew if Randall's evil dragon was female.
After circling the sky a few times, Alexander returned to the icebergs in the sea with Dorothy.
*Plop* Alexander, seemingly to protect his mother Dorothy, spat a mouthful of seawater at Sophie.
Sophie felt the fatigue from her magic depletion and leaned softly against Li En.
Alexander proudly lifted his head and let out a snort.
"Alexander, that's impolite. She's your father's friend."
Alexander turned his head again, indicating he didn't care about his father's friends.
Li En subconsciously twitched his mouth.
Unfilial child.
The black dragon flapped its wings and transformed into a black-haired girl, holding Dorothy's hand.
She was an exquisitely beautiful girl, even more so than a doll. Her black hair was silky smooth, her features delicate, her skin pale, and her purple eyes sparkled like jewels, leaving Li En staring.
His child, Alexander, wasn't a son but a daughter?
And such a cute one at that.
Apart from her hair color, she was the perfect inheritor of Dorothy's genes.
She was so adorable that Li En really wanted to pinch her chubby cheeks.
"Mom, can I eat her? She wanted to kill you."
Alexander pointed at Sophie.
"No."
Li En and Dorothy said in unison.
"It's wrong to eat people. You're a good child and should learn to coexist peacefully with humans."
Dorothy actively educated her daughter, "Besides, if it weren't for me holding back, that auntie wouldn't have stood a chance."
"Mom, are you trying to show off in front of the child? If it weren't for Dad, you'd already be dead."
Alexander looked cute, but her words were anything but.
Dorothy's face turned red with embarrassment. To maintain her dignity as a mother, she said seriously, "Alexander, what do you want to eat tonight?"
Alexander looked at Li En, then at Sophie in his arms, as if trying to choose between them.
Li En's mouth twitched. Who said daughters were their fathers' little darlings? This little darling seemed to be all about her mother.
"I want apple pie. I heard from Cruz that it's the tastiest human food."
Cruz finally came over, grumbling.
Honestly, he didn't want to come at all.
"Yes, apple pie is the tastiest food in the world, without a doubt. Someone, help me—I feel like I'm freezing to death."
"Don't worry, Alexander will save you."
Alexander breathed a stream of dragon fire onto Cruz, restoring him to full health.
"Great, Cruz will take care of Alexander from now on."
Dorothy patted Cruz, who accepted readily.
This was Alexander, the one and only true dragon in the world!
Dorothy had Cruz take Alexander to play in the snow while she went over to Li En.
