Chapter 26: Beautiful Policewoman

After Mr. Su Rui left, the girls waited for a while in the Student Council before encountering the police who had searched the academy and found them there.

The female police officer, Miwa Sato, first inquired about their safety, then began her routine questioning:

“Excuse me, did any of you see a golden sun appear in the sky above the school? It seemed to be a phenomenon caused by some kind of creature?”

“I don’t know, we only saw that thing, but we were very scared, so we didn’t look closely, we just hid in the Student Council.”

Longzhu Tao sat in her seat, arms crossed, expressionless, looking at Miwa Sato; her expression clearly indicated she knew something but didn't want to say it.

The other girls in the Student Council, whether it was Kaguya Shinomiya, Hayasaka Ai, Yotsuya Miko, or even Chika Fujiwara, all claimed ignorance.

Although Miwa Sato was somewhat displeased, she was helpless. After all, this was Shuchiin Academy, a prestigious institution where Japan's future elites gathered. Even with her own not-so-simple background, she probably couldn't force these girls to speak.

However, just as Miwa Sato was at a loss, she asked, “Do you know who that golden sun is? I noticed it seemed to be a certain person…”, trying to induce the girls to reveal the answer in this way.

But she still got no results, as the girls all remained silent. Even the pink-haired girl with a good figure, who had thought of something and was about to speak, was interrupted by a slap on her thigh before she could open her mouth.

Although she really wanted to frown and indicate that such behavior constituted obstruction of justice, and that the police had the right to hold them accountable, Miwa Sato wisely chose not to do so, looking at the girls who were taking advantage of her.

However, just as she thought she wouldn't get any answers and was about to leave, the Student Council door behind her was clumsily opened, and a blonde girl rushed in, carrying a bulging backpack on her back.

With her keen observational skills as a police officer, Miwa Sato noticed the snack crumbs at the corner of the girl's mouth and couldn't help but glance at her own mouth. Could it be that at such a dangerous moment, that girl was actually eating while hurrying?

However, what concerned Miwa Sato more than that was the pair of large white rabbits on the girl's chest, constantly bouncing as she ran.

Police Officer Miwa Sato subconsciously looked down at her own chest and fell into a brief silence.

However, her dejection didn't last long, because she heard the girl who had rushed in speak:

“Yotsuya Miko, Yotsuya Miko! You won't believe what I encountered, I was… Mmff!!!”

Before Yurikawa Hua could finish recounting what she had seen and heard, Yotsuya Miko quickly stepped forward and pressed her lips, preventing her from speaking, and whispered in her ear:

“Hua, don’t talk nonsense, don’t reveal Mr. Su Rui’s matter. If the police ask, just say you don’t know anything.”

“Eh? Is that so? I understand.”

Yurikawa Hua nodded somewhat foolishly. While she and Yotsuya Miko were communicating, Miwa Sato had not thought of approaching to secretly listen to the girls' conversation.

But Longzhu Tao and Hayasaka Ai, who originally shouldn't have had much interaction, now stepped forward in tacit understanding, blocking her path, and asked:

“Excuse me, officer, is there anything else you want to ask? If not, we need to go back. After experiencing so many dangerous things, we want to go home quickly.”

“…Alright, once the police confirm it’s safe, everyone can go home.”

Although somewhat annoyed and helpless, Miwa Sato could only smile and nod, then took out a business card from her pocket and handed it over:

“This is my business card. If you encounter any problems, or remember anything you want to tell me, you can call me.”

After speaking, Miwa Sato smiled at the girls, left a business card for each of them, and then left.

After walking out of the Student Council, her smiling expression faded, and a thoughtful and serious look appeared on the police officer’s face.

These girls definitely knew some inside information, and they might even know the whole story.

Clearly, they didn't want to reveal the origin of that golden sun…

Could it be some powerful superhero, accidentally known by the girls, and to repay the life-saving grace, the girls were helping that superhero keep a secret?

With no clues, Miwa Sato couldn't help but let her imagination run wild, then shook her head somewhat helplessly, amused by her own naivety. How could there be superheroes in this world?

After a discussion with her superior, Miwa Sato, who had initially thought she could investigate further and perhaps uncover something, found something amiss after reporting.

After finishing her report, the elegant female police officer left the police car and returned to the school gate. She was somewhat surprised to see students already leaving the school, frowning as she looked at the police officers who were supposed to ensure campus safety and temporarily block the exits:

“What’s going on? We haven’t lifted the alert yet, why are you letting the students leave? Our investigation isn’t over!”

The police officer shrunk his neck, startled by Miwa Sato’s imposing manner, and explained somewhat timidly:

“This is because the parents of those students all came after hearing the news, and many of them are ministers…”

Miwa Sato followed the police officer's gaze and saw many luxury cars parked at and around the school gate, mostly with drivers waiting outside for the students to leave.

A small number were even certain ministers directly standing outside their cars, waiting for their children to leave the campus.

“Gulp.”

Even Miwa Sato was helpless in such a situation. Those were very important ministers of Japan; how could the police stop them?

It seemed this investigation would have to be dropped. There were no clues to begin with, and now with the students leaving en masse, even the final investigation couldn't be carried out properly.

Feeling exhausted, Miwa Sato gave instructions to the accompanying police officers, telling them to ensure no disturbances occurred, while she herself returned to the police car to coordinate with headquarters regarding the events at Shuchiin Academy.

Even headquarters could only remain silent after receiving Miwa Sato’s report. The beautiful police officer, who had already guessed the outcome, leaned back tiredly in her seat and couldn’t help but sigh:

“First, a barrier whose situation is unclear, then a golden sun that the whole of Japan saw. What exactly is going on!?”
