Chapter 24: Unlimited refills of Lily Kawaka

This girl is very special, and she seems to know Yotsuya Miko.

Su Rui glanced at the traces the girl left as she walked; she not only held a pile of snacks in her arms, but her backpack and the plastic bags she carried were also filled with various snacks like bread and potato chips.

One could say that she left a trail of empty wrappers, marking her path.

Su Rui couldn't help but find it amusing; her act of resisting the life-draining aura barrier by constantly eating to avoid fainting was almost like a perfect food source.

From the tentacles that were drawing life force from her, Su Rui also noticed some clues.

Thus, the handsome young man descended directly from the sky, golden flames enveloping himself and the blonde girl who was eating, turning all the life-draining tentacles into ashes.

"Eh? Who are you?!"

The sudden appearance of Su Rui startled the girl who was eating. She stopped eating, her mouth slightly agape, staring wide-eyed at the handsome young man before her.

Su Rui paid no attention to the girl's gaze, but instead looked at the tentacles that, after being purified by his flames, tried to approach but then recoiled in fear of him.

It was already clear that this aura barrier seemed to be a special kind of creature. Although he didn't know how it was formed, this entity also possessed a certain level of intelligence, knowing to bully the weak and fear the strong.

After Su Rui rushed in, it showed no reaction. It wasn't that it didn't want the strong life force from Su Rui, but rather that it feared Su Rui's power.

And this girl, completely defenseless, was like an automatically refilling drink, replenishing as much life force as was consumed.

Even Su Rui had little resistance to an automatically refilling drink, so it was no wonder that the aura barrier merely hovered around Su Rui and the girl, not daring to approach.

"Um, I'm Yurikawa Hua. May I ask who you are? What's happening here?"

The girl, whom Su Rui had just ignored, timidly reached out and grabbed Su Rui's wrist. She saw the golden flames on Su Rui's body and felt a warm and comforting glow from them.

Therefore, even though Su Rui appeared suddenly and held a seemingly very dangerous longsword, the girl did not run away but instinctively chose to trust Su Rui.

"Something abnormal has happened here. Simply put, evil spirits have appeared, and you've been targeted. Everyone else is just collateral."

Su Rui said casually, glancing at the girl who was staring intently at him, his gaze inadvertently sweeping over the full fruits of her chest before he continued to be vigilant of the surrounding tentacles.

"You know Yotsuya Miko?"

"Yes, do you also know Yotsuya Miko?"

The fact that they knew the same person immediately cheered Yurikawa Hua up, and she moved a little closer to Su Rui, showing some closeness and trust.

"Yes, she's at the Student Council now, and she's safe. But you can't leave yet."

Su Rui said casually, reaching out to press down on the girl's shoulder, stopping Yurikawa Hua, who had wanted to run to the Student Council after hearing his words.

"Eh? Why?"

"Because you've been targeted by an evil spirit, and it's constantly draining your life force."

As Su Rui spoke, he swung his sword, cutting through several tentacles that were tentatively approaching, scaring Yurikawa Hua into shrinking her head back as she weakly retorted:

"But, I wasn't hurt just now, and nothing particularly dangerous happened, except for the grayish-black cover in the sky..."

Su Rui impatiently glared at the girl, who didn't understand the situation. He pressed her head, making her look at the path she had taken to get there:

"Look at how much you've eaten. Do you think that's normal? If it weren't for your special physique, you would have been drained of all your life force and turned into a corpse long ago."

"Eek~!"

Upon seeing the path made of discarded snack wrappers she had left behind, Yurikawa Hua couldn't help but gasp in alarm, then was held down by Su Rui:

"So you stay here, wait for me to solve the current problem, and then go find Yotsuya Miko."

"Okay, okay, I understand."

Yurikawa Hua nodded repeatedly, nervously looking around: "But, I don't see any danger."

Because you don't have spiritual power, you can't see traces of such a high energy level.

Su Rui didn't explain in detail, just said casually: "You don't have spirit vision."

Then Su Rui wielded the longsword in his hand, golden flames burning as he swiftly slashed it towards the sky.

However, this time, the sword energy did not cut through the barrier like a sharp blade; instead, it seemed somewhat weak, quickly dissipating after hitting the barrier.

The golden flames scorched the grayish-black aura on the barrier, not directly destroying it, but causing more damage than a sharp sword strike.

"It, it's moving."

Yurikawa Hua's trembling voice came from behind Su Rui. The girl shivered, watching as the aura barrier that had originally covered the entire campus gathered together in the sky, transforming into a deformed, amorphous tentacled monster with many eyes.

"Go to the Student Council and find Yotsuya Miko. They are safe there. I'll come over after I've dealt with the problem."

Su Rui casually patted the still-trembling girl. Warm spiritual energy flowed into her body, making her shiver comfortably, then she looked at Su Rui with some concern: "Is it okay? You won't be in danger, will you?"

"Otherwise, what can you do? Stay here and get in the way? Hurry up and go!"

Su Rui glared impatiently at the still-hesitating girl, his eyes burning with golden flames, scaring the girl into a jolt. She quickly started running, fleeing towards the Student Council:

"Please, you must be careful!"

It seemed Su Rui had indeed scared her quite a bit; even as her skirt was blown up by the wind from her running, revealing her white panties underneath, the girl didn't pay any attention, and the snacks in her hands were also casually thrown to the roadside.

After glancing at the fleeing Yurikawa Hua, Su Rui looked at the mountain-like aura monster before him. Su Rui's appearance and his previous attack had already drawn its attention away, so he didn't need to worry about Yurikawa Hua anymore.

With that thought, Su Rui looked at the aura monster covered in eyes and tentacles before him:

"I guess you can't talk, right? Let's just get started."

Golden flaming wings flapped behind him, and Su Rui flew high, seeing both the full form of the monster and the police officers who were trying to explore the campus after the barrier disappeared.

"Tsk, how annoying. Looks like I need to deal with you quickly."

Su Rui glared unhappily at the police officers. The golden flames on his body burned fiercely, and the longsword in his hand transformed into an absurdly large spear-blade, almost five meters long.

Blazing flames, like a golden sun, burned, and the approaching tentacles instantly turned to dust and dissolved.
