In July, I updated over 260,000 words. Everyone feels like they finish reading the updates quickly each day because each chapter is repeatedly refined and polished, so it reads very fast. You can check the word count in the table of contents; each chapter isn't short.
The creation difficulty of this book is quite high, and the creation process is relatively complicated, so it's really hard to add more updates.
For each chapter, under smooth writing conditions, writing the draft takes two hours, polishing the draft takes two hours, and I also need to seek feedback from reviewers (usually my wife or a few old readers). I need to work with high focus for at least eight hours every day. As long as the draft is deleted, or the review team feels the effect is not good, a large area of modification is required, and the workload will increase linearly.
For example, the two chapters about Yezi had almost 10,000 words deleted. For her reaction when she looked at Kong Meilian's body, I deduced, polished, and replaced more than a dozen methods.
Like Wei Na, Lan Yuzai, Yezi, and Zheng Shiduo, these are all the latest multifaceted character designs I've been working on, completely different from the 'labeling' character designs I used during the Senior Brother Human Immortal period.
It's very novel to me, and I enjoy writing it very much.
If this book can achieve success in terms of results later on, it will be of great significance to my writing career.
A brief report on the current results!
From more than 7,000 average subscriptions in the first 24 hours after it was released (I forgot to check at the time, it should be this number, and Qidian didn't give it any splash screen activities or anything), in 25 days, the average subscription reached 13,000. For more than ten consecutive days after it was released, there was no exposure, and the number of favorites and subscriptions increased every day. The reader feedback is much more positive than negative. In the current severe community environment of Qidian, that is quite encouraging.
It's very magical. Among the three options before the book was published, the one story I was least optimistic about is now becoming more and more exciting to write, and the reader feedback far exceeds expectations.
