Chapter 81: Derailed Carriage

Chapter 81 Derailed Carriage

Levi had no intention of meddling in other people's business.

Although the rebellious workers of the Sun praised him as a saint, Levi knew that he was not that great at all.

Most of his actions were out of selfish motives. Unless he encountered something that made him feel very unhappy and uncomfortable, he would usually just play the role of a bystander.

After two men in black uniforms entered the last carriage, Levi closed his eyes again.

However, before he could continue to rest, a huge and piercing sound, like nails rubbing on a blackboard, came along with the vibration of the entire train, forcing him to open his eyes again!

"Damn it! It's the middle of the night, and it's not over yet!"

He cursed and was about to turn around to see what had happened, when he discovered that the carriage that was originally at the end had been decoupled from the entire train at some point!

The train was rapidly distancing itself from the uncoupled carriage, and soon, as if being swallowed by the darkness and falling into an abyss, the carriage completely disappeared from Levi's sight!

Levi was stunned by this sudden accident. He thought it was just another emergency arranged in the game plot. There was some powerful person in the carriage doing evil things at the end, and then he was dragged into it through some accident.

But now the entire carriage is lost, what does it matter?

Not long after, the train police and crew members on the intercity train all noticed something unusual, and more than a dozen people crowded into the carriage where Levi was.

"What happened? Why did the carriage become uncoupled?!"

A middle-aged woman who was obviously dressed as a conductor screamed in fear, and the others were in a mess. It was obvious that the identity of the passenger in that carriage was very unusual, which made all the staff here panic.

Li Wei was also questioned, but because of his black card identity, the train attendants were very polite to him.

He had nothing to hide and told the truth about everything he knew, including the frequent disturbing noises and the fact that two uniformed men had entered the car before it was unhooked.

But even though such a serious accident had occurred, the train, which was travelling at high speed, showed no intention of stopping to retrieve the uncoupled carriage.

Because except for the underground cities where humans live, the natural rules of these spaces are missing in all other places, even in the inter-city tunnels that have been dug!

Every intercity train that can travel between cities is a special creation, managed and operated by a central super company. The basic rules can be guaranteed to be stable on or around the train, but once it is separated from the train body, the people in the uncoupled car will surely die!

Even scientists are the same!

After this incident, the luggage compartment where Levi was became extremely chaotic.

Train police and crew members kept coming in and out. They even risked opening the rear door of the carriage and checked how the connection between the carriages was broken while the train was still moving.

Levi, who was watching the show on the side, vaguely heard that those people finally came to the conclusion that this was not an accident, but a man-made disaster!

He shook his head indifferently. It was a man-made disaster for sure, but since it had nothing to do with him, he naturally wouldn't care so much.

The train attendants were busy until the second half of the night. Finally, after respectfully apologizing to Levi, they ended the investigation and left, preparing to report the matter to their superiors with pale and grim faces.

The surroundings became quiet again. Levi lay down in the chair and closed his eyes again, looking ready to continue the rest that was interrupted last night.

"Rumble--"

The wheels rolled on the rails, making a buzzing sound, and everything seemed to have returned to peace.

But at a certain second, he seemed to have sensed something and suddenly opened his eyes.

And just outside the car window next to his seat, a black-haired girl with a ponytail and blood all over her body was crawling towards the darkness on the top of the car!

When Levi opened his eyes, his eyes met the girl's dark and bright eyes!

The air seemed to freeze at this moment!

Looking at the girl's face that was obviously a little flustered, but still forced to show him a sweet smile through the car window, Levi calmly looked into her eyes for two seconds, then sneered. "Heh."

Then, as if he had seen nothing and discovered nothing, he put his arms behind his neck and closed his eyes again.

This time he was really ready to take a break.

A peaceful sleep ended. When Levi yawned and opened his eyes again, there was no movement outside the window except the darkness that kept passing by as the train moved forward. Even the window glass was wiped clean without any bloodstains left.

Just like the scene Levi saw before going to bed last night, it was simply a dream.

Nothing unexpected happened in the next two days, and Levi never saw the girl who was covered in blood but had a very sweet and sunny smile.

Finally, at the appointed time, at noon that day, the train arrived at Zhulan Station.

Levi carried his backpack and waited until most of the other people on the train had left before he slowly walked off the train.

The sky of this city is no different from the sun. It is also a dome covered by glowing clouds, and is also surrounded by the barriers connecting heaven and earth.

But as soon as he entered the station, he smelled the air which was much fresher than the sun. When the wind blew past him, it carried a faint scent of flowers.

There are no high-rise buildings here, only apartments with courtyards scattered around. Only in the middle of the city, there is a huge ash tree that blocks out the sun and can be called a spectacle!

The lush sycamore trees on both sides of the road and the flower beds and lawns everywhere make this place look particularly pleasing to the eye.

Just when Levi was the last one to get off the train, he discovered that a large crowd had already gathered at Zhulan's station.

Most of them were dressed elegantly, and some were wearing the same black uniforms as the two men Levi saw that night. They kept a large number of journalists armed with cameras at the periphery.

There was a young man with yellow hair and wearing a cool white suit. His face was full of tears. Before Levi got off the train, he rushed into the carriage and grabbed the collar of the conductor with a clear goal.

"What are you doing with all these people? My sister is such a big living person, how could you let her get lost? You will all be buried with her! You will all be buried with her!"

The distinguished and older people around him frowned with disgust on their faces when they saw his ostentatious and vulgar behavior.

But no one said anything to him, instead someone whispered comforting words.

"They have no choice. They are staff from the Central Tian'en Flight Service Branch. We should show them basic respect."

"Respect, respect! It's my sister who died! You are just making fun of me! Why don't you let your sister die too?"

The person who tried to comfort her was displeased. He retreated back to the crowd with a dark face, cursing in a low voice.

"Uncultured thing!"

Levi watched the show with great interest for a while, and found that there was no major conflict, at least no one started fighting. He shook his head in disappointment, turned around and left with his bag on his back, feeling bored.

In another corner of the station, a girl with a ponytail, her body covered in dried blood, hummed a cheerful tune and jumped down from the roof of the carriage.
