Chapter 142: Diamond Sutra: Subduing Dragons and Subduing Tigers
The clouds dispersed, and the moonlight shone between the houses, casting a layer of faint white light.
The night breeze was chilly. An old monk in a patchwork robe stood quietly in the shadow of the house. The wind pulled his starched, bleached clothes slowly.
Liang Qu did not let down his guard because of the old monk's words.
Late at night, except for big restaurants and big banks, ordinary people have already gone to bed to rest, and beggars would not choose this time to come out to beg.
Suddenly an old monk showed up and wanted to recruit disciples. It looked strange no matter how you looked at it.
Besides, he couldn't see any aura from the old monk at all, so he was ninety-nine percent sure that he was a master.
Liang Qu considered it for a while and asked cautiously: "Master, why do you want to take me as your disciple?"
"All things are caused by fate."
The old monk was holding a rosary in his hand and staring at Liang Qu. His eyes were clearly black and white, as clear as a baby's, and not at all like the cloudy and yellow eyes of the old man next door.
"Donor, your body has dragon tendons and tiger bones. I have a method called 'Vajra Sutra to Subdue Dragons and Tigers'. For ordinary people, practicing it is only for the upper level, but for you, it is the ultimate method.
I see that you are not even twenty years old yet. If you practice this method within thirty years, you will reach the state of perfection and have a chance to attain the Arhat level, which is what ordinary people call the realm of a martial saint."
Liang Qu was speechless.
The monk is really good at bragging. He says that he will reach the state of Zhenxiang in 30 years and has the hope of becoming a martial saint. How can he grow cabbages?
In the story, the man at least fell off a cliff and met the old man, from whom he learned extraordinary martial arts.
I don't even need to take it off, I can just find it while walking on the street?
But one could tell at a glance that Wu Gu Liangqu had not expected this. He was a boastful expert and was not easy to offend.
Liang Qu declined: "I already have a master, so I cannot learn from another one. Besides, I am the only one who has inherited the master's teachings. I have no intention of becoming a monk, and I am afraid that I will disappoint the master."
The old monk lowered his brows and silently turned his rosary beads.
The night wind blows and the place is silent.
Seeing that the old monk didn't say anything, Liang Qu felt a little uneasy.
"In that case." The old monk raised his head again, "I won't force you, but I have been traveling for two days without eating. Could you please allow me to bother you for a while and give me a vegetarian meal?"
Liang Qu was stunned.
To be honest, he was not very willing.
This old monk is so weird, but now that he has said this, it would be bad to refuse.
"Of course, Master, follow me."
The old monk bowed and said, "Thank you, benefactor."
Liang Qu sighed inwardly, walked diagonally in front, making sure he could see the old monk's movements out of the corner of his eye, and led him to open the door of the side wooden house and into the kitchen.
There was a small table in the kitchen, and Liang Qu brought a small stool for the old monk to sit on.
"Master, please take a seat. I will go and get ready."
"good."
Liang Qu rummaged through the cupboard, found some vegetables and seasonings, and started a fire to cook.
It was midnight and the cook had already gone home to sleep, so the old monk had to cook for himself if he wanted to entertain him.
It was the first time that Liang Qu made a fire and cooked since he came here. Before hiring a cook, he always ate outside or in the martial arts hall.
Since I had never used the ancient stove before, I was a little unfamiliar with it, but it was not a big deal.
Liang Qu added water and covered the lid. He turned around and saw the old monk holding a wooden board and picking up a piece of charcoal to write on it.
The wooden board seemed to be leftover waste from making doors when building a house. I don’t know when the old monk took it.
Liang Qu did not dare to read carefully what was written on it. He just watched with his eyes and nose, and waited for the vegetable porridge to be cooked, then served it in a bowl.
"Thank you, donor."
The old monk put his hands together, took the bowl with one hand and handed over the plate with the other hand after bowing.
"Master, this is..."
"The Diamond Sutra of Subduing Dragons and Subduing Tigers."
Liang Qu frowned and didn't answer it.
"I said, I have learned from you."
The old monk's dry face trembled, and he managed a smile: "No need to become my disciple, just consider it as the reward for the vegetarian meal."
This monk.
Liang Qu became very interested.
The old monk didn't seem as dangerous as thought, and he wasn't some eccentric weirdo.
Within thirty years, you will surely enter the realm of Zhenxiang and have hope of attaining the status of Arhat.
I have to admit that this sentence is quite curious, and it is almost free to exchange it for a meal of vegetable porridge.
Who doesn’t like freeloading?
"Master, drink slowly." Liang Qu put down the bowl and took the wooden board.
With a touch of his hand, the wooden board spread out like a peacock spreading its tail.
The wooden board was cut into dozens of thin slices!
What profound skills!
The wooden boards used to make the wooden door were not rotten wood, but oak, which was hard and heavy.
I didn't see the old monk take out any sharp weapon, but he was able to divide the wooden board into so many pages with just his bare hands.
Liang Qu lit the oil lamp beside the stove and looked carefully.
Each piece of paper was covered with words written in charcoal ash. The handwriting was vigorous and powerful, like dragons and snakes swimming.
"A woman's body consists of the five internal organs and six bowels inside, the limbs and bones outside; the essence and spirit inside, the tendons, bones and flesh outside, together forming her body."
for a while
The candlelight flickered. The more Liang Qu looked, the more sleepy he felt. The more he looked, the more dizzy he felt, and his eyes felt sore.
This practice was mixed with a large number of Buddhist terms and allusions, which were completely beyond his knowledge.
What Liang Qu learned in the academy were mostly classics, history, humanities and history. He also studied "Wansheng Baoyuan", which allowed him to have some knowledge of Taoist concepts, but he understood nothing about Buddhism.
I was still able to read it at first, but as time went by, I found that I didn't understand more and more things, and the text didn't connect to the beginning and the end, and it became a mess from the second page onwards.
Just from the idea at the beginning, it seems that it is indeed a method of practice that suits him very well, and it also has certain similarities with "Wansheng Baoyuan", so they can be practiced simultaneously.
It happened that the old monk had just finished his vegetable porridge and put down his bowl and chopsticks.
Liang Qu quickly found a set of tea sets, boiled some water, poured a cup of good tea, and asked with a smile, "Where are you from, Master?"
"I have traveled around and have no place to stay. If I have to say, I have been wandering in Qingzhou for a long time before. I came from Qingzhou."
"Come from Qingzhou?"
Liang Qu nodded, thinking it was just a coincidence that he was a wandering monk. He took out the copy of "Diamond Sutra Subduing Dragons and Tigers" again.
"Master, I don't understand your technique. I've never heard of many of the things in it. Can you explain it to me briefly?"
The old monk smiled and said, "You will understand naturally if you take me as your master."
It turns out that you are waiting for me here.
Liang Qu was speechless, and then asked: "Master, isn't it too casual to accept me as your disciple? You just saw me on the street and wanted to accept me as your disciple? What if I am a bad person?"
"I have been observing you since you left home at 15:30. I have seen, heard, and explored along the way. Last year, you donated money to save people, distributed porridge at the end of the year, killed mountain ghosts to protect the villagers, and did not forget to give charity after you became rich. I know all of this and I have made my own decision."
The old monk's eyes were burning.
There are many martial bones in the world, and dragon tendon and tiger bone are not the best, but they are the martial bones he most hopes to encounter.
People choose the techniques, and techniques choose people.
The person who created the technique does not necessarily have extraordinary skills.
A person with extraordinary cultivation may not necessarily be able to create a new technique.
It is so difficult to come across a martial art that perfectly suits oneself.
Dragon tendons and tiger bones, perfectly in line with the Diamond Sutra of Subduing Dragons and Tigers!
This method is only superior to others, but for dragon tendons and tiger bones, it is the best!
What is even more commendable is that Liang Qu is kind and charitable.
Ordinary people are born with a martial nature. They can easily injure people with a wave of their hands. No one can control them. They often have a lawless nature.
Rich and powerful people are born with a martial spirit, and are the center of attention, so it is difficult for them to care about the sufferings of the world.
After traveling for so long, the old monk first thought about accepting a disciple.
Liang Qu felt a toothache after hearing this. Fortunately, he had always had a good reputation, otherwise he would not have had this adventure today.
This is the first time I have experienced such a good thing as pie falling from the sky.
But he is not the kind of person who would betray his friends just for a piece of martial arts.
Once a teacher, always a father. How can a person go around looking for fathers?
Anyway, I have the skills in my hands. At worst, I can just read more Buddhist scriptures and study them on my own in the future.
Liang Qu shook his head, stopped forcing it, picked up a cup of tea and asked casually.
"Master, what realm are you in? This may be a little presumptuous, but you don't have to say it if you don't want to."
"According to what ordinary people say, this is the perfect image."
"puff!"
Liang Qu spat out a mouthful of tea.
